Old junk trader unable to eat for 2 days due to lockdown, given assistance by The Hungry Syrian Wanderer

Netizen Maemae Surio recently went viral on social media to help an old junk trader who has been out of food for two days due to a lockdown across Central Luzon.

According to Maemae, the old man, Antonio Pabita came to him to ask for a meal because he had been missing for two days as well as his Grade 2 grandchild.

Because of Maemae's viral post on social media, many have tagged a famous vlogger, Basel Manadil, better known as "The Hungry Syrian Wanderer".

"The post I saw and people tagged me on the comments. Lucky for Tatay (father) we are in the same City so I didn't waste time to help him right away the next morning ❤" according to Basel's post

Basel immediately went to Tatay Antonio's home in Las Piñas, Annex Camatsili to provide groceries and money so that he would not go hungry again during the country's lockdown.

Basel explained that he shared it not just for the sake of the people but to raise awareness that many of our countrymen were hungry and in need during the country's crisis due to COVID-19.

According to Basel, it would be an inspiration to help everyone work together to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus disease.
